  • Why request for a comprehensive assessment?
    There are many reasons to follow through with a comprehensive assessment: DWI/DUI; Meet legal requirements (court); Employment request; Evaluate for substance use disorder and level of care recommendation.

    How long is this assessment?
    Plan for 3 hours. However, most of the time it is quicker.

    What information is needed at the time of the assessment?
    If insurance benefits are being utilized then make sure to provide your insurance card and policy holder information (date of birth and address). Substance use history and various areas of concerns will be inquired.

    What form of direct payment is accepted?
    Cash, Check, Credit card.

  • How long is the outpatient program?
    The program varies per individuals from 3 months to 12 months depending on progress made.

    Is insurance accepted?
    We are in network with many major medical insurance in MN. We are out of network with United Healthcare and Medica. To utilize insurance benefits, we request for your insurance card and policy holder information (date of birth and address).

    Is there assistance with attending medical appointments?
    We provide coordination of care to providers upon a release of information is signed for. We promote independence by coaching you to problem solve ways to receive medical services.

    Do we oversee your medications?
    We do not touch your medication. We request for a list of medications. We require medications to be taken as prescribed and for you to update your prescriber with the way the medication is impacting you. Upon consent from you with a release of information signed, we coordinate care with your providers.

    Are there any medications restrictions?
    We do not have any medication restrictions. We advise all individuals to take medications as prescribed. We promote all individuals to have an open communication with their medical prescriber(s) pertaining to the impact they are experiencing from medication therapy.

    Are there medical provider available to prescribe medications?
    We do not provide medical services at this time. We are able to provide referrals and have a list of prescribers we often coordinate care with that are accepting new clients.

    Do we provide transportation?
    We do not have transportation as part of our services. We support individuals in utilizing public transportation (Trail Blazer), medical transportation, and personal transportation options.

    Is this a co-occurring program?
    Yes we are as of 11/2/2023. Our providers are advanced trained in trauma. If you have a mental health therapist you want to receive services from, we support you continuing with your current provider.

  • How long is intake?
    Intake is roughly 2 hours or less. This provides time for intake and the diagnostic assessment to be completed.

    How to prepare for the diagnostic assessment or intake session?
    An email confirmation is sent with instructions to complete the intake forms via client portal. It has been helpful to complete the intake forms prior to the session as this will provide the most time during the session to discuss concerns.

    Is insurance accepted?
    We are in network with many major medical insurance in MN. We request for your insurance card and policy holder information (date of birth and address). This is to check your insurance benefits for you to utilize your insurance benefits.

    Are there medication prescribers?
    We do not provide psychiatry services at this time. We are able to provide referrals and have a list of prescribers we often coordinate care with that are accepting new clients.

    Is psychological evaluations/assessments service available?
    We do not have a provider focused on providing psychological evaluations for ADHD, trauma, or other diagnosis. We are able to provide referrals and have a list of providers we refer to.

    What's the difference between a diagnostic assessment and neuro/psychological evaluation?
    Diagnostic assessment is completed by mental health therapists at a master level of education or higher (doctorate). Diagnostic assessment is utilized to diagnose many mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, etc.
    A neuro/psychological evaluation is completed by a licensed psychologist (LP) that has competency to do so. Neuro/psychological evaluation are utilized to diagnose/confirm ADHD, autism, dissociation, OCD, personality disorders, and schizophrenia spectrum to name a few. There are many other uses of a neuro/psychological evaluation.
