Lea Atkinson
MA, LADC, LPCC
Lea has worked in human services since the mid-2000s, providing trauma-informed care and addiction recovery support to individuals and families. She earned her graduate degree from Saint Mary’s University with a clinical focus on trauma and substance use disorders.
Throughout her career, Lea has served in a wide range of roles, including paraprofessional, clinical provider, senior leadership, education, training, and consulting within the behavioral health and recovery field. She values creating meaningful, individualized care by meeting clients where they are and tailoring her approach to their unique needs at each stage of recovery.
Lea has extensive experience working with adults and adolescents in residential treatment, outpatient programs, and inpatient settings. Her clinical specialization includes co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, trauma, and integrated treatment approaches. Through her work across multiple levels of care, Lea has developed a deep understanding of effective recovery support and trauma-responsive practices.
Her diverse professional background has allowed her to expand her expertise and mentor other mental health and substance use professionals, strengthening clinical teams and advancing high-quality, compassionate care within the recovery community.
